95 Eagle Talon TSi AWD

I purchased this car at the end of November 2001, with 59361 miles on it.

It's a 5 speed, everything stock, except for the rims, which were already on the car. I'm not crazy about them, but they'll do for now. I hope to do a few minor modifications before spring.

2003-04-28 Well, it's official. She's gone. I sold her tonight. It was so sad watching someone else drive off in 'my' car. As much as I hated to see her go, I know it's the best thing. No car payment and $120/mo less in car insurance will certainly help me out.

I think I will leave all of this site up here for archive purposes as it seems there's a decent amount of people visiting. Maybe someday I'll own another, although I think if I do it again, I'll get a 1G AWD and make it a track monster.

2003-03-30: I've put the car back to stock to get it ready to sell. This means I have some parts for sale now.

2003-02-21: Since the weather's been nice, I've been driving the Talon the last few days. It certainly is a nice break from driving the Jimmy and makes me realize how spoiled I really am w/ this car.

In sadder news, it pains me to say that I'm thinking of selling my Talon. I just purchased a house in December and not having a car payment would really help out, plus the lower insurance of only insuring the Jimmy.

If you know of anyone looking for one of these cars, let me know. If I don't sell it by spring, I will probably return it to stock and sell off my parts and consider trading it in for a commuter car. :(

2002-10-12: Went to the track today for some more drag racing. I went to Cedar Falls Raceway in Janesville. I managed a best time of 14.01@94.42. You can see my other times here. My ACT 2100 sure helped out a lot, as I was able to pull off some 1.8 and 1.9 sixty foot times.

2002-07-19: Got my car back from getting the clutch installed. Now it's a 500 mile no boostin, no shifting over 4k break-in. Pure torture. I dunno what's worse, driving my Jimmy, or having to drive my car w/out boosting. One thing I've noticed is that the clutch grabs right off the floor. I'm gonna have to adjust it or get used to it.

2002-06-08: Today was my first time ever drag racing. I went to Tri-State Raceway in Earlville. I managed a best time of 14.47@95.55. You can see my other times here. This had a negative impact on my clutch's lifespan, as I now feel a little slip when I go from cruising to WOT in 3rd-5th gear.

2002-04-17: I was in an accident today. :( I rear-ended a 2001 Roush Mustang convertible. I've been waiting for my plug wires to come in, as I have been having some problems with hesitation & boost stumbling in my car. I had just got the wire changed and I was on my way out to the interstate to make sure it was all better. Ended up with $3800 in damage to my car, not sure what on the other guy's car. If I can, I'll try to get pictures. [click here to read about my experience w/ the dealership, aka Satan.]

Here's what I have planned for modifications for right now:
